EX 33:5 For the LORD had said to Moses, “Say to the sons of Israel, ‘You are an obstinate people; should I go up in your midst for one moment, I would destroy you.
Though
these words apply primarily to Israel, it can be applied to the rest of
mankind.
Man
is utterly depraved that apart from the grace of God, apart from the Lord Jesus
Christ, there is not a single moment when we are acceptable to God. In
ourselves, we are ripe for God’s judgment every single moment.
But thank be God that He gave us the Lord Jesus Christ.
HEB 7:25 Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God
through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
Every single moment, in ourselves, we are ripe for judgment. But we have the
Lord Jesus Christ who always lives moment by moment to make intercession for
us. He made a sacrifice on the cross good for all moments, good for all time.
Put your trust in Him and His work on the cross. He is the only way by which
God’s judgment and condemnation could be averted.
