Christ paid the ransom price for all of us. But it must be noted that it was a provisional payment.

He did not pay in cash but He paid in the form of checks. Christ issued a check for each one of us signed with His blood. It is offered to all and provided for all. But only those who receive the check and endorse it will have their sins actually and effectively paid.

The check is received and endorsed when we excise faith in Him for salvation.
