GOSPEL NUGGET # 26

Ge 1:3 Then God said, "Let there be light"

2Co 4:6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Everything changed when God said: "Let there be light." What was without form and void and surrounded by deep darkness (Gen. 1:2) became bright. Everything began to have form and order (Gen. 1:6-10) and what was empty and void began to be filled (Gen. 1:11-25).

When Man fell into sin, everything was turned upside down. Morally, he was twisted out of shape. Inwardly, he was empty. Spiritually, he was in deep darkness. Everything began to change when God said through the Gospel of Christ: "Let there be light".

Morally, he is now being transformed into the image of Christ. Inwardly, Christ is in him. Spiritually, he is now in Christ, the One who said: "I am the Light of the world."
