Ac 10:43 "To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive forgiveness of sins."

Isa 53:6 ...And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all

Forgiveness means to dismiss and send away. All of us are sinners. But the moment we put our trust in Christ for salvation, all our sins are dismissed and sent away. God laid them all on Christ---our Sin-Bearer who paid the penalty of all our sins.
