GOSPEL NUGGET #11

Pr 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Man can be sincere and be sincerely right, but he can also be sincere and be sincerely wrong. His judgment as to the right path is not always reliable. What he thinks is right is not always right. In relation to salvation, men have trodden many different paths, convinced that it will lead them to heaven. Some of them are the following:

1. Good works superhighway
2. Reformation lane
3. Church alley
4. Charity--Donation street
5. I-am-morally-better-than-others avenue
6. Religion road
7. Prayers boulevard
8. Baptism expressway
9. Penance drive

All these lead to a dead-end. Because there is only one way to the Father: Jesus Christ.
