GOSPEL NUGGET # 79

Ga 2:16 "knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law...

No man can be justified (declared righteous by God) by keeping the Ten Commandments. A sinner is justified by faith in Christ<--- This idea is repeated twice in this verse to emphasize and reinforce that very point.

It's like God saying: "I really, really want you to get this. And so I am repeating it."

Stop relying in your imperfect obedience to God's commandments. Rely on the perfect sacrifice of Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross for your salvation. His work, not your performance is the basis of salvation.
