GOSPEL NUGGET # 73

2Th 2:14 to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

How does God call a sinner? He calls him by the gospel. The Gospel is the good news that Christ died for the sins of sinners and that He rose again from the dead. Every single time you, as an unrepentant sinner, hear this good news of a message, God is calling you. If you have repented already, then God is reminding you of His love.

Tagged behind the Gospel is the Gospel command to "Believe or trust on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved" (see Acts 16:31).

You know, there will come a time in a man's life when he will hear the gospel for the last time. Hearing the Gospel is a privilege that God extends to sinners. It is no light and slight thing to hear the Gospel. He has called you through T.V., radio, literature, Facebook etc. but He will not call forever.

This could be the last time that you will hear of the Gospel call. Harden not your hearts.
