Lu 14:16 Then He said to him, "A certain man gave a great supper and invited many,
17 "and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, 'COME, FOR ALL THINGS ARE NOW READY.'"
Look at that invitation again: "Come, for all things are now ready." Let's apply that to salvation.
When it comes to the salvation of a sinner, all one has to do is to come in faith to the Savior. You don't have to work to earn it. Why? For, when it comes to salvation, all things are now ready.
"It is finished," the Lord Jesus said regarding the work of salvation. It is already done. All things are now ready. He has provided the payment for all our sins by His death on the cross. And God accepted the payment. He demonstrated His acceptance of it by raising Him from the dead.
And so come now. Come to the Savior, trusting in Him and what He did on the cross for the salvation of your soul. Come, all things are now ready!
