Election Day
Mt 27:15 Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to releasing to the multitude one prisoner whom they wished.
16 And at that time they had a notorious prisoner called Barabbas.
17 Therefore, when they had gathered together, Pilate said to them, "Whom do you want me to release to you? Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?"
Mt 27:21 The governor answered and said to them, "Which of the two do you want me to release to you?" They said, "Barabbas!"
On this election day, the people chose Barabbas over the Savior. He won by landslide.
And it is still happening today, for over 2000 years now. We hear and see people choosing their darling Sin over the Savior. They refuse to choose the Savior because they love their sin.
People are choosing Self as their own savior over God's appointed Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. They would rather bank on their church going, their prayers, their good works, their religious activities in order to be saved than trust in the Savior alone for salvation.
Dear friend, who will or what will it be? Your Sin, Your Self or God's Savior? Vote Wisely.
